Seventy-six rooms in nine Bastides

After fifteen years of dedication to its clientele, which have earned it an international reputation, Le Domaine du Mas de Pierre is being reinvented around a new identity: Le Domaine du Mas de Pierre. In the heart of its vast Mediterranean garden, the luxurious Provençal residence welcomes two brand new Bastides with an authentic and contemporary decor around La Bastide des Fleurs – the original building – in addition to the six existing Provençal bastides (Antonin, Camille, Florian, Estelle & Grégoire). Seventy-six rooms are spread across these nine Bastides, infused with romantic charm, to immerse yourself in the Art of living in Provence.

Jean Mus’ landscaping imprint

Charles Trenet could have been inspired by the originality and luxuriance of the landscaped areas of Le Domaine du Mas de Pierre for his “Jardin extraordinaire”! These eight hectares of delightfully fragrant greenery, modelled by the Grasse landscape gardener Jean Mus, offer a multitude of nooks and crannies to marvel at or relax in, for bucolic and discreet escapades in the soothing gurgling of the fountains. Planted with Provençal species, citrus trees, century-old olive trees and aromatic plants, the Mediterranean gardens are filled with monumental sculptures by famous contemporary artists such as Folon, Sosno, Lapie, César, Tobiasse… To top it all off, a greenhouse with orchids and an aviary where colourful parakeets chirp, will fill you with wonder!

An invitation to romance

Two new, magnificent buildings stand in the gardens, underneath the completely greened roofs. Interior designer Patrick Ribes has combined the authentic Mediterranean style with soft colour harmonies and atmospheres of blue, fuchsia and pink. In the 22 new rooms (Prestige Deluxe, Prestige Junior Suite, Prestige Suite, Prestige Suite Jacuzzi, some of which are communicating), the Toile de Jouy decorates the headboards and is used on the bed runners, pillows and Louis XV armchairs. Chests of drawers and baroque consoles in lacquer or silver, meridian seats and large sofas invite to romance in a cosy and refined atmosphere, thanks to the natural stone covering the floors and whitewashed walls. The rooms are spacious and have large dressing rooms.

Designed for leisure and/or business travellers, the Bastides offer a full range of tailor-made services adapted to the needs of their guests. Everything is possible: a romantic candlelit dinner in your room, breakfast on your private terrace for a great start to the day, room service at all hours, a personalised blanket service, all lulled by the gentle melody of the cicadas in summer.

An intimate setting, the Bastide comprises six luxurious suites with terraces, all designed in a subtle decor, as if patinated by time. A unique and rare style

Anchored in the heart of the Domaine, six other bastides emblematic of Provence reveal a contemporary and charming style. Between balconies, loggias and private terraces, the 76 rooms offer avariety of light and bright harmonies. A nod to the beauty of Provence, the photographs, objects and paintings collected by the owner, suffuse warmth and simplicity into relaxing atmospheres where shades of white and cream give an essential elegance. Chef Emmanuel Lehrer’s locavore table

La Table de Pierre, the gastronomic restaurant of Le Domaine du Mas de Pierre, opens directly onto nature and the gardens in all seasons. Surrounded by his new brigade, the chef Emmanuel Lehrer operates from his “cuisine spectacle” and introduces his guests to the gastronomic riches of the region with talent and passion, sublimating the treasures of local producers to the rhythm of the seasons. Opposite the counters, a 14-seat table d’hôtes allows guests to watch the live preparations, to share small and large dishes and to organise events and private tastings. An experience to be prolonged under the large retractable glass roof, opening, with the first rays of sunshine, onto the gardens of the Domaine.

An elegant and subtle cuisine

Franco-Austrian, Emmanuel got his first pastry chef’s outfit at the age of ten! His future is therefore mapped out. After the hotel school in Strasbourg, he trained in Switzerland with Didier de Courten and then discovered the luxury hotel business (Saint Barth, Verbier, Carcassonne, Paris). He joined Michel Rostang at Le Méridien and played a significant role in the opening of the group’s restaurants in Dubai, Vienna and Milan. After five years in various establishments in Monte-Carlo, he became head chef in 2009 at Le Mas de Pierre, keeping Michel Rostang as his culinary godfather. In this chic Provençal setting, he practices a particularly elegant and subtle Niçoise cuisine. The 5-course Inspiration Menu reflects the chef’s culinary identity.
